Returns Policy

The Old Operating Theatre Museum & Herb Garret team wants you to enjoy your experience shopping with us. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at shop@oldoperatingtheatre.com and we will be happy to help. 

If you are unhappy with your purchase, or it is damaged in transit, please write to us within fourteen (14) working days of receiving your goods, and return it to us at the address below, in its original condition within 14 days of receiving the item, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and we will issue you a full refund or replace it.

Items must be returned within 14 days of the cancellation date, unused, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and accompanied by a copy of the original order confirmation. 

Items delivered to an overseas address must be returned within 30 days of the cancellation date, unused, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and accompanied by a copy of the original order confirmation.

Goods must be returned at your own cost and we would recommend that you return the goods by recorded delivery. We can only accept the return, and refund opened items if they are faulty.

Faulty or Damaged

In the rare event that goods are delivered faulty or damaged please return the item to us and we will offer a replacement or refund immediately. Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged, or when a manufacturing fault occurs within 6 months of purchase. Items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty.

Packaging Your Return Items

Please note that when returning an item, the parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us. Wherever possible, please return the items in their original (or similarly robust) packaging. We recommend that you ask your Post Office for a proof of posting (available free of charge). This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

International Returns

International customs duties and sales taxes are not refunded for shipments outside the UK. If you are returning anything to us from outside the UK you must complete a customs declaration, correctly indicating that the package contains “returned goods” or similar. We will not pay customs duty in order to receive back the returned item(s).

Payment

Payment is taken from your card once your order is placed and you have received your email confirmation.

Any refunds granted will be credited to the payment method used at the time of order processing. Once we receive the item(s), we will issue a refund or replacement(s), whichever is requested and depending upon availability.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods.
